Hum it, and the melody is written down
The best melody ideas get sung into a phone at a red light and forgotten. In Cobander, a vocal take becomes notes on the song's melody track, so the band can see it, play it and keep it.

A vocal take becomes notes
Right-click a vocal track and choose Melody from this track. Cobander follows the sung pitch and writes notes: vibrato and the scoop into a note count as the note you were aiming at, and notes are pulled into the song's key and onto the beat when the recording backs it up.
Or start from the words
Type a lyric and the melody generator sets it to a tune that fits the chords — reroll the notes, the rhythm or both, edit any note by hand, and keep the one you like. A guide voice sings it back so you can hear it.
Use it everywhere
The melody shows up in the chart and in Practice, and a keyboard player can read it straight off the note editor.
Questions
Do I need a good voice?
No. It writes down the notes you aimed for; a rough hum works.
Does it upload my singing?
No. It runs on your own computer.
